Under the Raising Voices for Change: A Summon to Promote SRHR Access project, funded by Amplify Change and implemented in Mulanje District across Traditional Authorities Juma, Nthilamanja and Mkanda, 30 peer educators have been equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to expand access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services among adolescents and young people.

Chipembere Community Development Organisation (CCDO) has conducted a two-day Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) training in Thyolo district aimed at empowering young people with knowledge, confidence and skills to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.

Between January and August 2025, women groups in Thyolo resolved 51 conflict and GBV cases, including incidents of physical abuse and child marriages. Members of Area Peace and Unity Committees (APUCs) handled 43 GBV cases, mostly related to economic abuse, while girls’ clubs successfully intervened in six cases, including the termination of two child marriages.

From January to August 2025, the Ufulu Women’s Group in Mikate Village under Traditional Authority (TA) Maganiza, Thyolo, has successfully resolved 20 cases of domestic violence through mediation and community engagement.
