Youth & Women Empowerment
At CCDO, we believe that empowering youth and women economically is essential for community transformation. Through our programs, we provide practical skills and opportunities that help women and young people become self-reliant and active contributors to their households and communities.
Our initiatives include training in agribusiness activities such as tomato and vegetable farming, piggery and chicken rearing. In particular, the piggery farming model operates as a pass-on scheme, where beneficiaries who receive pigs are encouraged to pass on offspring to other vulnerable households.
This approach ensures sustainability, community ownership and wider impact as more families gain access to livestock over time.
In addition, CCDO runs a Youth Corner initiative that equips young people with skills in leadership, entrepreneurship and vocational training. These opportunities not only improve livelihoods but also give youth and women the confidence to participate in decision-making and community development.
